Newfoundland's Minister of Health and Community Services, Susan Sullivan, recently presided over the official opening of the new Western Bay Clinic.

The provincial government invested $360,000 in the facility, which provides medical personnel with modern health care equipment and infrastructure.

The new clinic is located in a renovated building next to the former clinic. It consists of a family physician's office, which will be staffed by a full-time physician, as well as a patient reception area and examination rooms.

The clinic is part of the provincial government's 2013 Budget, which will see a $226 million investment in health care infrastructure. Since 2004, the Newfoundland and Labrador government has invested more than $1.2 billion in healthcare infrastructure.
