Infrastructure Ontario and Cambridge Memorial Hospital shortlisted five companies to build and finance the hospital's expansion and redevelopment project.

The following companies were shortlisted:

• Bonfield Construction Company Limited

• EllisDon Capital Inc.

• Graham Construction and Engineering LP & Harbridge + Cross Limited, JV

• PCL Constructors Canada Inc.

• WCC Construction Canada ULC

The hospital redevelopment will see a combination of renovations and new construction. This includes the construction of a new acute care wing, which will include clinical care facilities, clinical support facilities and a medical education campus.

The hospital's existing 'B Wing' will under major interior renovations to upgrades the rehabilitation, medical surgical, emergency and diagnostic imaging units.

The shortlisted companies will be invited to respond to a request for proposals, expected to be issued in fall 2013.
