Infrastructure Ontario and Halton Healthcare Services recently issued a request for qualifications for redevelopment of the Milton District Hospital.

The request for qualification is the first step in the procurement process to select a team to design, build, finance and maintain the project. The redevelopment focuses on increasing services and facilities, this includes high demand areas such as emergency, surgical, maternal newborn and diagnostic imaging.

Submissions will be reviewed and project teams that pre-qualify will be invited to respond to a request for proposals, which is expected to be released in spring 2014.

Stantec Architecture Inc. was contracted, prior to the issue of the request for qualifications, as the planning, design and compliance team for the redevelopment. The firm monitor construction coordination and oversight services throughout the project.
