Finally, the third of the 3-part webinar series will explore good infection prevention practices to be used by hospital maintenance workers. While focused on preventing the spread of infection amongst vulnerable patient populations, leaders in the facilities management realm must also worry about keeping their staff safe and ensuring that maintenance workers do not become the vectors by which infectious agents travel in the health care facility. To do this, developing and promoting good habits among team members is paramount. This session will explore best practices for material and equipment handling and storage, personal protective equipment, accessing challenging spaces, and handling of potentially contaminated materials.
