Kuruluk Colleen Colleen Kuruluk

Colleen Kuruluk, a graduate of the University of Manitoba’s Asper School of Business with majors in Marketing and Finance, is a highly respected authority and advocate for energy efficiency.

Previous to her current role as CEO for Efficiency Manitoba, Colleen worked at Manitoba Hydro for nearly 23 years where she ended her career as Manager of Power Smart Marketing Programs leading a large, multi-disciplinary team responsible for the research, design, and marketing of Energy Efficiency programs to residential, commercial and industrial customers.

Additional contributions to the field include Colleen supporting energy efficiency in the building code, having served on the former Manitoba Building Standards Board as Vice Chair and the seat for Energy Efficiency for the past 10 years. Most recently she was appointed to the Standing Committee on Energy Efficiency, that will be focusing on energy efficiency in commercial and residential buildings as well as renovations, at the national level.

MacDonald Kyle Kyle MacDonald

Kyle is the Executive Director of Facilities at the University of Winnipeg where he is responsible for ongoing operations and campus infrastructure. His work at the University over the last several years has been focused on reducing energy consumption and driving change to meet numerous sustainability goals. He has significant professional experience in high performance building systems and retrofitting. Kyle regularly engages with many on and off campus to discuss green efforts and build creative partnerships.

 Brabon Erica Erica Brabon

As the Director of Energy and Sustainability Services, Erica Brabon manages and implements Energy & Sustainability initiatives nationally. With her technical expertise and professional experience in smart buildings, energy storage, energy management, energy audits, benchmarking, GHG emissions tracking, green building certification systems, occupant engagement, and sustainability initiatives, Erica plays an essential role in reducing energy costs and environmental impact for our company and our clients.
During her 10+ year career, Erica has managed incentive program projects securing millions in incentives and loan dollars for clients; conducting energy audits and retro-commissioning studies; developing facility operator training focused on sustainable operations, and facilitating environmental training for over 200 operators. She is fundamental in developing B&M’s portfolio wide energy management and reporting services for our client facilities.

 McLachlan Colin Colin McLachlan, C.E.T., RCDD, LEED AP BD+C

Colin McLachlan has extensive large and small project experience gained from the healthcare, commercial and retail sectors. Colin’s specialism is converged networks including extensive telecommunications design and in 2017 he received the designation of Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) after passing a rigorous technical examination. Recently, Colin designed and project managed a 288-strand fibre optic loop campus-wide design for the Health Sciences Centre.

Hammond Scott Scott Hammond, P.Eng., LEED AP BD+C

Scott is experienced in a wide range of multi-disciplinary pre-development, planning, design and construction projects throughout Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Ontario. Starting in the industry working for two multi-national construction companies, Scott has gained the practical knowledge necessary to apply efficient design practices to all projects. He is an active member of BOMA Manitoba, ASHRAE, IFMA and ACEC. In 2012, Scott was awarded the prestigious Member-in-Training Award by the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Manitoba. In 2014, Scott was named to the Consulting-Specifying Engineer Magazine’s international Top 40 Under 40 list of Consulting Engineering professionals.

 Vogt Paul Paul Vogt

In August 2015, Paul Vogt was appointed as Red River College’s fifth President.
Prior to coming to Red River, Vogt’s career was in education and public administration.
A home-grown Manitoban, he was educated at the Universities of Manitoba, Oxford and Princeton. He returned to the province in 1990 to begin an academic career, teaching politics, public administration and economics courses at the U of M, the University of Winnipeg and Canadian Mennonite University.
From 1996 to 2014 Vogt held a series of positions with the Manitoba Government, including eight years as the head of the provincial public service and Deputy Minister to the Premier.
He serves on many volunteer boards in Manitoba and Canada, including the Fort Whyte Foundation, the Assiniboine Park Conservancy, the Winnipeg Airport Authority, the Canada West Foundation and the Business Higher Education Roundtable.
Vogt is leading Red River at an exciting time of growth and transformation. The College has opened its new Trades and Technology Centre at the Notre Dame Campus in August, and last spring began construction of a new Innovation Centre in the Exchange District.
These initiatives are part of Vogt’s overall vision for Red River – a modern, agile post-secondary institution that works collaboratively with industry and communities, prepares students for career success, and promotes innovation across all sectors of the economy.

 Manna Robert Robert Manna

Robert is a member of Stantec’s Buildings Digital Practice Team and is a leader in the implementation and support of new processes and technology throughout the organization. Trained originally as an architect, including a degree from RPI currently his key responsibilities include (but are not limited to): keeping pace with technology trends (like VR & AR), product owner for Stantec’s model database and suite of custom Revit tools, interactions with technology vendors, and liaison with IT for configuration and deployment of software and technology. Robert also serves as the Chairman of the Design Technology Summit, an annual meeting of design technology leaders from the largest AE firms in North America. When he has time he enjoys skiing (east coast & rockies) does one sprint triathlon a year and still finds time for his two children and wife!

Gaamangwe Tidimogo Tidimogo Gaamangwe, PhD, P.Eng.

Tidi is currently the Acting Senior Executive Director and Chief Clinical & Diagnostic Technology Officer with the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority Clinical Engineering Program. Tidi has previously lead Clinical Engineering at the Ministry of Health in Botswana. His current responsibility is to provide leadership and strategic foresight for Clinical Engineering as well as lead the management of health care technology. He is interested in the application of systems approach to health care technology management and the development of innovative approaches to technology management, planning and sustainment. To that end, he has great interest in developing collaboration models to meet the future healthcare delivery needs. He is an active member in professional associations, such the CMBES.
