Construction Course Renewal

Certificates

Certificates are provided electronically at the end of each course and completion of the evaluation form. The certificate is valid for 3 years from the date it is issued, after which it expires. Proof of 15 contact hours in approved programs is required to renew the Certificate. The required hours can be obtained any time within the 3-year period. Renewal of the certificate will be through the Canadian Healthcare Engineering Society.

Renewal Requirements:

  1. Complete the Tracking Sheet and Save to your documents.  You will need to upload when you complete the Renewal Form (Step 2)
  2. Complete renewal form 
  3. Payment of $100 renewal fee (see renewal form)

Tracking sheet submission is proof that the 15.0 contact hours (1.5 CEUs) of approved courses have been acquired:
• List courses/conferences and state the number of contact hours

• Courses not on the list of approved courses that are submitted for consideration should include the name and content of the course along with the sponsoring organization, faculty credentials, and url.

You may be required to include a certificate of attendance for each course/conference

Eligible Courses to satisfy the 15.0 Contact Hours (1.5 CEUs) to renew are:

  • Attendance at CHES National Annual Conference
  • Attendance at CHES Provincial Chapter Conferences or Education Days
  • American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) Construction Certificate Course
  • Attendance at ASHE Innovation Conference
  • Attendance at ASHE International Conference for Planning, Design and Construction of Healthcare Facilities
  • Attendance at any ASHE related construction course
  • Any Canadian Standards Association Healthcare Construction-related course or conference may be submitted for consideration (in advance of attending event and include the name and content of the course along with the sponsoring organization, faculty credentials and URL
