 01 MelissaZepp

Melissa Zepp

Melissa Zepp is an Infection Control Professional with the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority with experience in construction and renovations of health care facilities. Melissa graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Manitoba in 2004. Shortly after graduation, Melissa began work in Long Term Care where she quickly became a Nurse Manager, with a focus on infection control and education. In 2011, Melissa transitioned to the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority Infection Prevention and Control program. Upon moving to the Misericordia Health Centre in 2012, her focus turned to infection control in regards to construction and renovations. Melissa completed her IPAC course in 2013, followed by CSA certification in Infection Control during Construction, Renovation and Maintenance of Health Care Facilities in 2015. Since that time, she has become the Infection Prevention and Control expert in regards to construction, renovation and maintenance in the region. She currently Co-chairs the WRHA Multi-Disciplinary Construction, Renovation, Maintenance and Design working group.

Shaun Jeffrey

Shaun Jeffrey is a professional senior management expert who had held high level management positions in 4 different industries. Born and raised in Winnipeg Shaun earned his Bachelor of Business Administration with Honors in 2004 while working as a General Manager in the hospitality industry. With extensive experience in both Facility and Property management he joined Abell pest control in 2009 as the Branch manager of the Manitoba Branch. Shaun is a 3 tier licensed extermination who was elected to the board of directors of the Manitoba pest management association in 2012 and was elected in 2015 as president. He has been elected to the board of Directors of the Canadian pest management association, a position he still holds today. Shaun is a certified level 2 football coach, who has been coaching flag football since 2010. Shaun is married to Stephanie and together they have 5 children. 

03 Dean Campbell 

Dean Campbell CRSP

Dean has worked for the past 29 years in the Occupational Health & Safety field in a variety of portfolios including Occupational Safety, Corporate Security, and Environmental programs. During his time developing safety programs for commercial explosives manufacturing and in the Aerospace industry he developed a passion for fire safety as there are no second chances in the explosives and aerospace fields. Dean made the quantum leap to Healthcare 14 years ago and is currently with the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority in the capacity of Regional Fire Marshal.

His passion for fire safety lead him to join the Municipal Fire Service and for the past 23 years has been a proud member of the RM of Woodlands Fire Department. During his time with the Department, Dean has honed his skills and experience as a structural, agricultural and wildland fire fighter.
He currently serves the Department as Fire Chief.

Dean is a graduate of University of Manitoba, OH&S Certificate program, a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP), a Fire Fighter, Hazardous Materials Technician, Fire Investigator and Fire Inspector.

As a member of the Manitoba Association of Fire Chiefs (MAFC), Dean serves the Association sitting on of the Board of Directors.

Dean and his wife Kathy are proud parents to 3 grown children and very proud grandparents of 2 grandchildren. Hobbies—anything mechanical especially if it has an engine attached but that’s a whole different story….

04 Edwin Wooster 

Edwin Wooster

Edwin Wooster has been a staple at Pinchin for 26 years and works in the Hazardous Materials Division. As a Senior Project Manager and Training Specialist out of Pinchin’s Winnipeg Office, he has a wide range of experience providing consulting services throughout Manitoba, as well as Saskatchewan and North Western Ontario. He provides a variety of training sessions on various subjects including Asbestos , Lead, PCB’s, Confined Space, Working at Heights, Spills Response, and WHMIS 2015.

Tom K. Malkiewicz, C.I.M., LEED AP, P.Eng., FEC

Tom has been with Crosier Kilgour & Partners Ltd. since 1993, and a partner with the firm since 2001. Tom specializes in the design and management of large and/or complex projects. As a designer with Crosier Kilgour, he has been involved in Winnipeg landmarks such as MTS Centre, HSC Women’s Hospital and the Manitoba Hydro Downtown Office Building.

Tom graduated from The University of Manitoba in 1987, with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, and became registered as a member of APEGM in 1990.

Terry Runka

Terry Runka has been with Chem-Aqua for 24 years. He is currently the Senior Manager of Chem-Aqua Environmental and Healthcare Division. This division is devoted to minimizing water borne pathogens including Legionella through scientifically validated treatment options.

His water treatment knowledge and technical abilities have won him the highest technical award, that of “Masters of Water Treatment” at Chem-Aqua Inc. He is also a volunteer with Canadian Standards Association and working with the Disinfection Task Force committee.

Terry has been travelling across Canada doing educational seminars to increase awareness of potential hazards to immune-compromised patients in Health Care and Long Term Care facilities.

Aaron Marshall

Aaron Marshall is the Director of Operations for Enrich Products, Inc., a manufacturer of EPI Copper/Silver Ionization Systems for Legionella Control. He is responsible for managing day to day operations, regulatory compliance, product R & D and manufacturing. He has been involved in over 100 Legionnaires’ outbreak interventions throughout North America - all resulting in success. He was directly involved in getting Enrich’s Ionization systems approved by the EPA and certified by NSF.

Terry Becker

Terry Becker, P.Eng., CESCP, is the senior vice president of Danatec Educational Services Ltd.’s Electrical Safety Division, a total solutions provider for electrical safety consulting services, licensed Electrical Safety Programs, Electrical Safety Audits, Arc Flash Studies and arc flash and shock training, based out of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Terry has over 25 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer working in both engineering consulting and for large industrial oil & gas corporations.

Prior to August 2017, Terry was the owner and president of ESPS Electrical Safety Program Solutions INC., providing complete electrical safety consulting and training solutions since 2007, until its acquisition by Danatec Educational Services Ltd.

Terry is also the first past Vice-Chair of the CSA Z462 Workplace electrical safety Standard Technical Committee, and currently an Executive Committee member, voting member and leader of Working Group 8 Annexes as well as a member of the IEEE 1584 Committee, the CSA Z463 Guideline for Electrical Equipment Maintenance Standard Committee, and a member of the NFPA 70E Annexes Working Group.

Terry is a Professional Engineer in the Provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Ontario, and regularly presents on CSA Z462, NFPA 70E and electrical safety principles at industry conferences and workshops both nationally and internationally.

Terry is the subject matter expert and visionary of the state of the art Electrical Safety Training System (ESTS) eLearning training courses for Electrical Workers and Non-Electrical Workers, and creator of the unique processes and systems established to complete Electrical Safety Audits and develop and support Electrical Safety Programs. The Electrical Safety Division at Danatec also provides classroom-based Workplace Electrical Safety training options in both instructor-led and train-the-trainer formats. Danatec itself is an award-winning industry expert with a 30+ year history of delivering leading regulated safety and compliance training across Canada, both in the classroom and online.
