Kandice Cohen, Portfolio Director, Electrification of Heat
Trane Commercial HVAC Americas, Trane Technologies

Kandice Cohen has spent her career focused sustainability and decarbonization in the HVAC and lighting spaces within commercial and industrial buildings. She is currently the Director, Electrification of Heat for Trane Technologies, focused on building and executing Trane’s strategy around the megatrends of sustainability, decarbonization, and the electrification of heat. Kandice specializes in market transformation towards technologies that lead to a healthier planet, healthier buildings, and a healthier population.

Previously to this role, Kandice spent 13 years engaged in the science of illumination and controls to enhance the quality of the lit environment for the benefit of occupants, as well as to maximize energy savings that achieve the goals of building owners and efficiency programs.

Kandice was awarded the distinct honor as a 40 Under 40 Innovator by Analytics Insight in 2022, Woman on the Rise by Paradigm for Parity in 2021 and was one of three women selected by LEDs Magazine as a part of their 40 Under 40 Inaugural Class of 2020. She has won four President’s Awards over the past 2 years at Trane Technologies, including the Dare to Be Different Award, for her work in both industry leading innovation as well as for her work in diversity and inclusion, creating opportunity for all and promoting STEM career opportunities for young women. Kandice has her bachelor’s degree in materials science and engineering from Lehigh University and has spent close to two decades in the lighting and HVAC industries.

Scott Huffmaster, Healthy Building Solutions Sales Leader
Americas Commercial HVAC, Trane Technologies

As the Healthy Spaces Sales Leader at Trane Technologies, Scott Huffmaster is responsible for leading Trane’s indoor environmental quality (IEQ) efforts for the United States and Canada. This includes Trane’s Wellsphere™ initiative, a holistic approach to building wellness that cultivates healthier indoor spaces by enhancing air quality, lighting and acoustics.

Scott spearheads indoor environmental quality (IEQ) sales campaigns, helping customers achieve customized, healthy spaces while aligning with Trane’s strategic mission and objectives.

Since joining the company in 2006, he has connected with customers to bring them innovative, sustainable equipment, controls and HVAC service solutions. Using his engineering expertise, he develops long-term business opportunities for Trane and improves IEQ for customers.

Scott holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Texas.
