Lorne is a Technical Lead with Interior Health, bringing over 25 years of Red Seal Journeyman electrical experience and a strong background in project execution, commissioning, and health care facilities maintenance. Since joining Interior Health in 2019, he has supported a wide range of acute, long term care, and specialty sites across the region, contributing to program improvements, strengthened integration between Facilities and partner departments, and enhanced emergency preparedness planning.

In his current role, Lorne provides technical guidance anchored in the regulatory frameworks of Technical Safety BC, WorkSafeBC, and CSA standards. He serves as a key intersecting point between policy and front line operations, translating complex codes and regulatory expectations into practical tools, procedures, and workflows that support safe, compliant daily operations. By equipping field teams with clear, actionable guidance, he strengthens organizational compliance, safety culture, and operational reliability.

Lorne is recognized for his collaborative communication style, systems thinking, and commitment to LEADS based leadership. He looks forward to contributing to the CHES BC Executive as Secretary and to helping advance the profile and impact of CHES BC as a trusted source of knowledge, development, and connection for healthcare facilities professionals.

In healthcare settings, I’ve handled regulatory requirements (like infection control and patient safety standards), managed maintenance and upgrades without disrupting care, and coordinated teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
