2025 CHES National Conference Companion Program

Available to those accompanying a registered CHES conference delegate, this program is a two-day adventure.

Sunday, September 14, 2025 – Discover the magic of Drumheller, a gem in the Canadian Badlands.  A day of Dinosaurs and Hoodoos!

  • Enjoy the scenery aboard your coach shuttling from the Marriott Downtown Calgary. Departure time 7:30 a.m.
  • First photo stop Horseshoe Canyon
  • Visit the Royal Tyrrell Museum in Drumheller, where you’ll have approximately 1.5 hours to explore one of the world’s most renowned collections of dinosaur fossils and interactive exhibits
  • Lunch at the Last Chance Saloon in Wayne, AB included
  • Quick stop (if time permits) at Willow Creek Hoodoos
  • Return by 4:30 p.m., in time to participate in the Opening Reception at Studio Bell-National Music Centre in downtown Calgary at 6 p.m.

Monday, September 15, 2025 – Choose your own adventure in Banff

  • Continental Breakfast served at the BMO Centre-Stampede Park from 7:00-8:30 a.m.
  • Join us for our Keynote and Opening Plenary at the BMO Centre-Stampede Park
  • After the presentations, hop aboard the return Shuttle service from the Marriott Downtown Calgary to Banff (departure 10 a.m. from BMO Centre)
  • Wander downtown Banff or nearby walking trails or hop on Banff Roam transit to visit Banff Springs, Gondola, Sulphur Mountain, Johnston Canyon and more!  ($5 Roam Day Pass can be purchased at the Visitor Centre where the shuttle will drop off and pick up)
  • Return in time to get ready for the President’s Reception and Banquet (included in your registration fee)

Tuesday, September 16, 2025 – Choose your own adventure, Calgary

  • Continental Breakfast served at the BMO Centre-Stampede Park from 7:00-8:30 a.m.
  • Explore Calgary at your leisure.  Maps and attraction information provided in your delegate registration packet
