Samantha is the daughter of CHES Maritime member David Benoit. David is the Senior Executive Director Strategic Investments and Infrastructure Planning with the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness. / Samantha est la fille de David Benoit, membre du Chapitre Maritime de la SCISS. David est le directeur exécutif principal des investissements stratégiques et de la planification des infrastructures au ministère de la Santé et du Mieux-être de la Nouvelle-Écosse.

Samantha will be attending St. Francis Xavier University in the Business and Administration program with aspirations of a more accessible world for those with disabilities. As well as activities, such as, downhill skiing, goalball, reading, acting and singing, Samantha volunteers with the Nova Scotia International Student Program (NSISP), the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) and Tru Faces, a social media platform created by people with disabilities for people with disabilities. / Samantha, qui aspire à un monde plus accessible pour les personnes handicapées, fréquentera l’Université St.-Francis-Xavier dans le programme d’administration des affaires. En plus d’activités telles que le ski alpin, le goalball, la lecture, le théâtre et le chant, Samantha fait du bénévolat pour le Nova Scotia International Student Program (NSISP), l’Institut national canadien pour les aveugles (INCA) et Tru Faces, une plateforme de médias sociaux créée par des personnes handicapées pour les personnes handicapées.

FALL EDUCATION DAY SOLD OUT!

Dear Members of CHES Maritime Chapter:

I am writing to you today to make you aware that CHES Maritime will be hosting a complimentary Fall Educational Day to be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, 8:30 to 4 at the Best Western Glenngarry in Truro Nova Scotia.

This educational session is FREE to any CHES Maritime members as well as non - CHES members within hospital and long-term care maintenance/operations in the Maritimes. Breakfast and a lunch will be provided. This is an opportunity for front line staff to receive some great professional development and provide networking opportunities with colleagues from across the Maritimes. Attendees are certain to learn new concepts that will benefit our healthcare organizations.

Topics will include areas important to the safe operations and maintenance of our healthcare facilities, such as:
•  The importance of computerized maintenance management systems to healthcare
•  Asbestos information session
•  Hoarding techniques to meet infection control standards
•  Roofing maintenance
•  Chiller maintenance
•  Power Quality: Understanding it, identifying it, & resolving it
•  Water management plans assisting with legionella prevention

CANCELLATION POLICY
This contract may be cancelled by either party provided written notice is received by the other by March 31st, 2023.
In the case of an Exhibitor cancellation, the request must be received in writing before March 31st, 2023; the exhibitor will be responsible for 50% of the booth fee on all cancelations. If the Exhibitor cancels after March 31st, 2023, the exhibitor will be liable for 100% of the total contracted space costs. By cancelling this contract the Exhibitor forfeits all rights or claims to the allocated space and the Organizing Committee is free to rent it to others and collect the cancellation charge as damages.
